In August, 2006 the Fellowship welcomed the Reverend Dave Hunter and the Reverend Kerry Mueller as our new settled co-ministers. Reverends Hunter and Mueller come to Northwest Arkansas from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where together they served as co-consulting ministers for the Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community, in neighboring New Jersey, and where Rev. Hunter also served as consulting minister to the Unitarian Universalist congregation in Cumberland, Maryland.

Rev. Mueller received a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College in Greek, a M.Ed. from Temple University in Secondary Education, an M.A. from Cornell University in Classics, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Marketing and Public Management. She earned her M.Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary in 1994, graduating summa cum laude. Rev. Mueller taught Latin, and had a career in marketing with Conrail before entering seminary. She was ordained in 1995.

Rev. Hunter received a B.A. from Princeton University in Philosophy, graduating magna cum laude, and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School. He earned his M.Div. from Wesley in 2003, graduating magna cum laude. Before entering the ministry, Hunter was a civil rights attorney for 33 years. From 1975 until 2000, as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, he worked on enforcement of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was recently extended by Congress. He was ordained in 2003.

Reverends Hunter and Mueller were married in 1980. They have two grown children, from Rev. Mueller's first marriage, and four grandchildren.

"Unitarian Universalism," according to Hunter, "is a noncreedal faith that values the worth and dignity of every person, emphasizes deeds rather than creeds, affirms the value of religious community, and supports individual journeys toward spiritual understanding." Mueller elaborated that Unitarian Universalism "reflects a living tradition that begins with liberal Christianity and embraces the riches of humanism, feminism, mysticism, natural theology, the Jewish tradition, many other world faith traditions, and the skepticisms generated by the past century's disillusioning woes and wars." Hunter added: "We especially welcome those who haven't entered a house of worship for many years - or ever."
