Social Justice at UUFF

Social Justice Committee Mission Statement

We, the members of the Social Justice Committee: join together to give voice to our religious values as members of a Unitarian Universalist congregation. We uphold the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism and seek out ways to put our beliefs into action. Our purpose is to inform and educate members and the public in areas of social concern; to find ways to rectify social injustices; to sponsor and support groups organized to deal with social problems.

Historically, UU congregations have been active in a broad range of social justice issues. In 2004, the UU Fellowship of Fayetteville, in conjunction with our previous minister Rev. Rhett Baird, won an award for outstanding work presented by the Omni Center for Peace, Justice, and Ecology.

If you would like more information about current activities, please contact the Fellowship office.
